Breakfast French Crepe

The French crepe is a large breakfast crepe with eggs, ham, mushrooms, asparagus, mozzarella, and brie cheese. It was very large, maybe too large to finish. Overall, it was a very savory, heavy, cheesy crepe with lovely presentation. I think it would have benefited from some acidity like a salsa or sauce to cut through all the heavy ingredients. In general, I found it pleasant but not particularly impressive.
Mousse Au Chocolat Crepe

The chocolate mousse crepe was a showstopper. To begin, the presentation was gorgeous with the chocolate crepe folded into a neat bowl shape with a side of fresh whipped cream, topped with an orchid. The chocolate crepe bowl was filled with a creamy decadent chocolate mousse that was to die for. Also, the crepe was topped with fresh strawberries. I think that the freshness and acidity of the strawberries paired very well with the rich creamy mousse. Additionally, I think the chocolate mousse crepe was a perfectly sized dessert, a generous serving size but not too much, and a good size to share!

Overall, I enjoyed the food at Les Crepes. They have a large assortment of breakfast, savory, and sweet crepes as well as appetizers. Additionally, there is a full drink menu with breakfast cocktails available. All the food was good or great! And the presentation was next level.
Service
The service at Les Crepes was very good. They were extremely professional, quick, and friendly. Also, they refilled our drinks efficiently. We did have to ask for our check when we were done in the European style.

There were about 15 tables outside. There is also seating inside but I did not see how much.

There were couples on dates, groups of girl friends, and families dining at Les Crepes.
Overall Atmosphere
The outdoor ambience was very classy and comfortable. It had a European garden party feel with seating in the large alley between historic buildings. The furniture was very simple, sturdy, comfortable, and well-spaced out. The décor was primarily plants on the old brick and iron of Cary Street. Also, the outdoor seating area hosted live music. During our visit there was a trio playing classic big band music with a vocalist, guitar, and double bass. The classic and classy music really adds to the overall experience. I think the overall experience comes together to be a great date, celebration, or girls outing locale where you can dress up a little and have a nice time.
Location
Les Crepes in Richmond, VA is in a prime spot in Carytown. Carytown is a beautiful historic district of downtown Richmond. There are many different shops and restaurants within walking distance. The only down side is the parking situation. There is only street parking available and it can fill up, so you may have to parallel park in the adjacent neighborhood.

Value for money
I think that Les Crepes is a good value for your money. It is on the more expensive side but its unique offerings, food quality and presentation are definitely worth it. Additionally, the service and atmosphere are wonderful. I think as a complete experience it is worth the money.

Overall, I enjoyed my experience at Les Crepes. The food was stunning and very tasty. Additionally, I particularly enjoyed the overall curated experience between the cuisine, the aesthetics, service and live music. I would recommend Les Crepes to anyone looking for a classy tasty place to have a date or gathering. I think it would be a good spot for special occasions like birthdays, and bridal showers, etc. as well. If you like chocolate try the Mousse Au Chocolat!
