Knead Bread is a new charming bakery in downtown Winchester, VA. I thought the baked goods were tasty. I enjoyed the friendly staff and the clean fresh atmosphere. I would recommend stopping in for a breakfast cinnamon roll.
Gonzoburger – Charleston, WV
Gonzoburger is an interesting burger joint in Charleston, WV filled with historic features. They have large filling meals that are quite indulgent. I was impressed by the staff and enjoyed my visit.

Oak Stone Craft Pizza and Bar is a nice dine-in wood-fired pizza restaurant in Winchester, VA. It offers traditional Italian offerings and pizzas as well as some unique ones. We tried some of the unique pizza offerings. They have tasty food though they don’t load their pizzas up as much as I am used to. Their service is very good and the atmosphere is airy, energetic, and elevated.
West Oaks Strawberry Festival – Winchester, VA
The West Oaks Farm Market in Winchester, VA hosts and annual Strawberry Festival in the Spring. This year I went to check it out. It is free to go to the strawberry festival and hang out or listen to the live music. You do have to pay for food, activities, and strawberry picking.
Tender Mac’s – Chesapeake, VA
Tender Mac’s is a takeout only restaurant in Chesapeake, VA that specialized is mac and cheese, chicken tenders, and fries. They have incredible food and stellar service. They are also a local veteran run business. I would recommend stopping by next time you are looking for takeout or good comfort food.
Rockheim Museum – Trondheim, NO
Overall, Rockheim is a great museum. It was very fun to go through. I loved the interactive elements and learned a lot about Norwegian music and culture. It is a new clean building that is nice and airy.

Pancakes-N-Things is a long-time family run restaurant in Chesapeake, VA. I would categorize it as a diner because it has such a wide variety of menu options and all-day breakfast. It has a very simple casual design. The staff are great but they are short staffed. The main focus is the food and it is very good with large servings.
Apple Blossom Carnival – Winchester, VA
Winchester, VA has a Carnival as part of the annual Apple Blossom Festival. It has a lot of spinning rides, fair food, and carnival games. I felt it was a bit expensive for the value. The amount of time you had to spend in lines compared to riding rides is very high. It was a cute local carnival though. I think it would be good to go at a no peak time to get better value for your money.
