What I Ordered
Spring Roll
$2.50
The Vietnamese spring rolls were served with a peanut dipping sauce. The rolls included glass noodles, shrimp, onions, and carrots. Everything was fresh and the flavor was good. However, there were only two pieces of shrimp so the flavor distribution wasn’t very consistent. Also, you bought one spring roll at a time.
Chicken Pho
$11.95
The regular size chicken pho is a large bowl of broth, chicken, rice noodles, an onions. The broth was very pleasant and light but a little on the bland side. The garnishes (bean sprouts, jalapenos, and basil) were brought out for the whole table to share instead of for each person. I do not think that was ideal because there could not be enough of a garnish for everyone to have it. The chicken was very good and fresh but it was a small amount of meat. Lastly, the ting I enjoyed the most was the extremely fresh rice noodles. Also, they do have some chili oil available to add some heat.
Sake
The sake was served hot in a little bottle to be poured into a small cup. There were 3-4 cups of sake in the bottle. I though it was much smoother warm and enjoyed it.
Overall Food
Overall, I enjoyed the food at Mekong Restaurant. Their menu mostly consists of Vietnamese noodle soup dishes and appetizers. All of the flavors were good and the food was fresh. Just wished there was more of the proteins in the dishes. Also, I think I would try the spicy pho next time to see if it adds another depth of flavor.

The service at Mekong Restaurant was good. They were very busy and efficient. They weren’t that friendly but they were professional and brought out everything quickly.
