What I Ordered
Thai Tea
$6.50
The Thai Tea was fantastic and quite uniquely served. It was brought out deconstructed on a tray with the tea, cream, simple syrup, and ice separate. Then you could pour them in yourself to make the drink how you like it. My favorite aspect was that the ice was made of frozen Thai tea, so it never got watered down. Overall, it was a strong, flavorful tea with lovely fresh cream.
Thai Dumplings
$7
This appetizer consisted of five little dumplings served in a steamer basket and a side of black bean sauce. The dumplings were filled with pork, shrimp, scallions, mushrooms, and carrots ground up to a consistent texture. These dumplings were pleasant and savory but not very flavorful, so they are much better with the sauce. They may be good with other sauces like siracha as well to add more flavor.
Green Curry with Duck
$21
The green curry has bell pepper, bamboo shoes, fresh basil, and eggplant with your choice of protein. I opted for duck and found they serve very large cuts of duck. You definitely get your moneys worth but it does make the dish quite filling. Because the pieces of meat were so large it was hard to get multiple things in one bite. The curry was very nice with a great depth of flavor; however, it was barely hot at all. If you like spicy I would ask for the hottest level. Also, the curry is served with a side of white rice.
Overall Food
Kittiwat Thai Kitchen offers a selection of Thai food as well as a full drink menu with unique offerings like tea cocktails. Overall, I thought the food was enjoyable but on the bland side. I would ask for extra sauce to jazz things up. I absolutely loved the Thai Tea and highly recommend it.
Service
The service at Kittiwat was fair. They were efficient and professional, but not friendly.
Atmosphere
Size
There are about 15 tables inside and 6 outside on the patio.
Who Goes Here?
It looked primarily like a date spot with some families as well.
Overall Atmosphere
Kittiwat Thai Kitchen is a medium size, modern, new restaurant. It is very clean and open with large windows and a lot of metal and wood. The furniture is modern and not very comfortable. I noticed most of the tables are for two people with only a few four person tables, so it is probably mostly for dates. One wall has a large mural, one wall is covered in plants, and one wall has a selection of antique items.
Location
The location of Kittiwat Thai Kitchen in Frederick, MD is very good. It is in a new clean shopping center with plenty of parking. They are near several other shops and restaurants and within walking distance to hotels. Also, this area is right off of Interstate 270.

Value for money
I think that Kittiwat was a mediocre value for the price. The food was pretty good with good serving sizes but it was quite pricey. Though the dining experience was clean and professional it was not fine dining, so the prices seem a bit high.
Overall
All in all, Kittiwat Thai Kitchen was a pleasant experience. The food was pretty good and very filling, but a bit bland. I loved the Thai Tea and would recommend it. Though it was a clean and hip restaurant it was rather uncomfortable and pretty pricey. I think it would be a nice date night Thai spot in Frederick, MD.
