Overall, the dish is mild, but very flavorful, savory, and comforting with a large serving size.

The white sauce is a house made dip that has some combination of ranch, mayo, and garlic. Their recipe was more sweet-savory and not spicy. The chips were fresh and tasty.

Horchata is a traditional drink made of rice water, milk, sugar, and cinnamon. The horchata was very light and ricey, with little milk and cinnamon. It may have had too much ice watering it down. Overall, a pleasant drink but not very impressive and rather watery.

The atmosphere at La Tolteca was very lively and casual. The furniture includes large comfortable booths and tables. All of the décor is bright jewel tones with festive decorations and large colorful paintings. Even the chairs at the tables are carved and painted with vibrant scenes on them. The bar area does smell a bit like stale beer and liquor and the furniture is a bit shabby, but overall everything came across as pretty clean, just well-used. I enjoyed the comfortable, fun atmosphere at La Tolteca.
Location
The location for La Tolteca in Aberdeen, MD is alright. They offer plenty of parking for customers. However, the way the roads are, it is somewhat difficult to access. There aren’t any other shops and restaurants nearby and the area is not very attractive. It is within convenient proximity to several hotels and the interstate.
