A hibiscus beer that I found to be unique, tart and fruity. This was an interesting but easy to drink beer.
Girl Scout Cookies and Beer Flight
I attended during a special Girl Scout Cookie and Beer Tasting Event. This flight included five different girl scout cookies and five beers. I think my favorite combination was the Carmel DeLite with the Intermission Winter Warmer. Overall, I thought it was really fun trying out all the different cookies and beers.

Overall, I thought the beers I tried were okay, though I didn’t really love any of them. Moreover, I thought the girl scout cookie flight was a very fun idea. They do offer some basic bar food like pizza too. Overall, I think the quality of their beer and food was pretty mediocre but the events and atmosphere are the main sell.

You ordered your drinks and food at the register and picked up your order at the counter. The staff were very friendly and kind. They were happy to giver recommendations based on your preferences.

The atmosphere at Intermission Brewing is fun, casual, and eclectic. They have a huge assortment of nerdy décor including movie posters, artwork, and Funko pop figures. Also, there are TVs showing movies and movie trivia at the bar and a large selection of boardgames and card games customers can play. There is a lot of natural light from the large windows. I found the metal stools are trendy looking but uncomfortable. Overall, I think it Intermission Brewing is a fun, relaxed spot to meet with friends to grab a drink and play a game.
Location
Intermission Brewing is in Glen Allen, VA just north of Richmond, VA. The location is quite odd. It has plenty of parking available. However, it is attached to a tire shop on the side of a small shopping center. Though, it would be convenient to hang out there while your car gets fixed, it is a little weird otherwise. It is not that close to any other restaurants or shops. Also, the road to get in was in rough shape.

Intermission Brewing is an okay value for your money. The prices were similar to other breweries and the serving sizes were fair. I think a big sell for this brewery is the fun atmosphere with all the games you can play and events to enjoy. I believe they hold trivia nights as well.
