Hot Taro Milk Tea with Honey Boba

The hot taro milk tea is a special winter offering. I had never tried a milk tea with boba that was hot so it was a fun change. I loved it! This drink is delicious! The taro has a very rich, velvety, creaminess to it paired with cream made it extra creamy. I opted for 50% sweetness and though it was the perfect sugar level. It was sweet but not too sweet. The honey boba also tasted lovely and added to the drink. I would recommend it!
French Dip Bon ME Sandwich

The Beef Bon Me Sandwich is a good Vietnamese banh mi. This sandwich is composed of a marinated seasoned chipped beef served with fresh cilantro, carrots, radishes, and jalapenos on a French baguette. Also, the sandwich comes with a side of spicy mayo which I would recommend adding. In my sandwich all the jalapenos ended up in the same area so most of the sandwich was mild but a couple bites ended up EXTREMELY hot. So, watch out for the jalapenos, though they do add a tasty kick.
I thought this sandwich was very tasty. The meat was very flavorful and the veggies were fresh and crisp. It was a bready sandwich but the baguette was delicious so I did not mind. Additionally, the bread is pretty crisp on the outside so I thought dipping it in the soup made the texture a little softer but it still held up well.
French Dip Soup
I opted for the “French Dip” sandwich, so it came with a bowl of soup. The soup was a pho broth with bean sprouts, onions, and basil and no meat or noodles. Though it was a simple soup consisting mostly of broth it was very flavorful and light. I do think it paired nicely dipped with the sandwich. Also, I enjoyed finishing my soup after the sandwich. It was a big serving. The soup was served very hot so watch out and let it cool a few minutes.

The Tea DM Street Food Corner offers a full bubble tea shop (Tea DM) and a Vietnamese food shop (Bon Me Shack). The tea shop offers a broad selection of hot and cold teas, milk teas, boba, smoothies, and more. I loved the Hot Taro Milk tea that I got and I would recommend it. Additionally, I really enjoyed my meal at Bon Me Shack! The Vietnamese food shop offers spring rolls, pho, rice bowls, and banh mi. They also offer some fun fusion options like Bon Me Tacos. Also, based on how tasty the pho broth was I would gather their pho meals are probably great. Overall, I really enjoyed all of the food at the Tea DM Street Food Corner.

The service experience at the Tea DM Street Food Corner is very limited. Each shop has modern self-service kiosks where you can order, as well as one register to order in person. The staff were not very friendly but they were professional and efficient. You pick up your food at the counter when it is ready. Overall, the service was okay, but not impressive.

The Tea DM Street Food Corner is a new, modern, airy food-court style business. It is a large, open, clean, industrial space. There are three different shops side-by-side: Tea DM, Bon Me Shack, and a bar that is not available yet. It is open concept where you can see into the kitchen of each one. The seating is very modern and minimalist, so it is functional but not very comfortable. It is a good place to have a quick meal or snack. There is not really any décor but the whole business is wall to wall windows with a ton of natural light. I thought it was a unique, modern design.

The Tea DM Street Food Corner in Sterling, VA is in a very good location. It is in a new strip mall with many other shops. Also, it is not far from Northern Virginia Community College, Dulles Airport, and Washington DC. There are many things to do and see nearby. It is also along a main road and close to the highway.

I think that the Tea DM Street Food Corner offers fair value for your money. Their prices are pretty much on par with other restaurants with similar dining experiences. But I think the value comes through in the quality of the food and drinks. I was impressed by how tasty everything was.
