The miso soup comes with some meals. It is a very light warm soup. It is a nice enjoyable start to the meal. This miso soup had a small number of green onions on top but no tofu cubes.
Stone Pot Spicy Pork Bi Bim Bap

Bibimbap is a Korean rice dish. The stone pot style is cooked and served in a hot stone bowl. It comes out sizzling like fajitas are at a Mexican restaurant. It looks amazing with tons of color. The dish includes a rice, fried egg, bean sprouts, spinach, and carrots. I ordered the spicy pork as the protein and loved it! It was marinated and very flavorful with a nice kick to it.
I really enjoyed the veggies and the overall combination of textures. Additionally, I added Gochujang sauce, which was served on the side, that added a bit of heat to the dish. Also, I was disappointed the fried egg did not have a runny yolk, which would have gone well with the dish and taken it to the next level. The overall flavor of the bibimbap is very savory and earthy. I think next time I will try adding some kimchi to the mix, because it could add a nice acidity.
Touchdown Sushi Roll

The touchdown roll is an 8 piece sushi roll. It is composed of tempura shrimp, avocado, and cucumber with cream cheese and smoked salmon on top. This roll is very creamy and savory. The smokiness of the salmon adds a really nice element to the flavor. It is a big bite and the ends are a bit unwieldly because of the shrimp tails. But the roll tastes delicious!
Overall Food
Overall, the food at Mr. Noodle and Rice is quite good. It is Asian fusion with a wide selection of Asian cuisine, including pho, udon, sushi, bibimbap, and yakisoba. They do have some combos and bento boxes available that can allow you to try several items. I tried the sushi and bibimbap during my visit and enjoyed both. The portions sizes were great and they had beautiful presentation. The flavors were good and fresh, but I would suggest making use of the sauces available that can really add to the dishes.
Service
The service at Mr. Noodle and Rice was a bit disappointing. When I first arrived, I was the only customer. I was told to sit wherever I liked and was given a menu; however, it took ages for a waitress to come back and take my order. Additionally, I could hear the two employees angrily talking and arguing. They seemed to be in a bad mood and rather grumpy my whole visit. Business picked up and they were quite busy by the time I left. The server brought out food efficiently and accurately, though they did not keep up with refills well. Overall, the service was not very good.

Mr. Noodle and Rice is a cozy restaurant. It had a lot of dark wood furniture and molding and is arranged somewhat tightly making it cozy. Also, there are several large Asian art pieces on the walls. Overall, it is sparsely decorated, but comfortable.

Mr. Noodle and Rice in Winchester, VA is in an OKAY location. There is parking available. There are some shops nearby but not much and it is not walking distance to much of anything. It is an area of town that is not very pretty or exciting, so you have to go out of your way to visit.

I think Mr. Noodle and Rice is a good value for your money. They food is good and the serving sizes are pretty large. Moreover, the prices are pretty affordable. Also, particularly in the Winchester area, they have some of the best Asian food options and prices.
