Earl Gray Tea
The earl gray tea has a large loose leaf tea bag, freshly prepared by the barista. The tea is very good. Also, you can get free refills of hot water.
Raisin Scone with Butter & Jam
The raisin scone was fresh out of the oven and served with fresh butter and jam. This scone was truly amazing. It was light, fluffy, warm and flavorful. The butter and jam were out of this world too. I would definitely recommend getting this, especially if you are there right when they open.
Cinnamon Roll
The cinnamon roll is a fairly dense pastry with cinnamon sugar throughout. It was very large and fresh but not very cinnamon-y or sweet. Overall, a nice pastry but a bit bland.
Breakfast Tea
This was breakfast hot tea. However, it was a store-bought tea bag not looseleaf. I learned that only the teas listed on the tiny chalk board by the register were served loose leaf. This tea was OK.
Cappuccino
The cappuccino is a drink including espresso and foam. It is a very attractive drink, but I must admit I am not a coffee person, so the espresso was a bit much for me. I thought it had a very strong burnt coffee flavor. But I’m sure it would be great if you are into that sort of thing!
Jam Bolle
The jam bolle is bread roll with a custard and jam filling in the middle. The jam was very good and fresh and in good ratio to the amount of roll. The bread was light and fluffy.
Pizza Bolle
The pizza bolle is a square of thick bread crust with some “pizza” toppings. The bread had black olives throughout so it has a strong olive flavor. The topping included cheese, tomato sauce, and a thin sliced meat that looks like pancetta. Overall, it was a bit bland and very bready. It could have used more seasoning and sauce. Additionally, it would have been tastier served warmer.

Overall the food and drinks were very fresh and fairly tasty. They are a bit bland though. I recommend the scone with butter and a loose leaf tea.

The barista was very efficient and helpful during ordering. There is not table service in the café, so it was a fairly hands off experience.
Character
The baristas were very polite and happily switched from Norwegian to English when we asked.

There are pillows on the booth benches that make it more cozy. Additionally there are fresh flowers on every table that brighten up the space.

Godt Brød Munch Brygge is very clean and well maintained. It looks new. The bathrooms are large and clean as well. Customers clear their own tables and put their dishes in a designated rack when they are finished eating.
